One year, a cloud of dust and graffiti

It has now been one year (give or take) from the start of construction and we apprehensively say, it shouldn't be much longer!  From the restaurant perspective, we will begin the interviewing process this and next week while our equipment, smallwares, etc. comes in by the truck load - literally.  Not only are we on a first name basis with the UPS and FedEx reps, motor common carriers know where to store the larger pieces of equipment.

The office spaces are coming along as well.  While they will be left as raw as possible (read "blank canvas"), the marketing has begun - http://www.costar.com/costarconnect/MasterPage/Main.aspx?SiteId=21589&CheckSum=89141&type=off.  You know you want your office in the coolest building in town.

Our first graffiti!  After TECO installed our gas meter, some nit wit spray painted the meter grey to make it look shiny and new - without putting up a barrier between it and the very expensive and hard to clean Ariscraft stone.

Things are starting to get into the final stages here. Working on the
weekend to get everything done by Summer 2012.

Glass - a mental milestone

Last week, they began putting glass around the building on Margaret and Oak.  Glass has been in the north wall for several weeks, but unless you ate at Mossfire or took a close look, you'd never know.  While this is a significant step in drying in the building, we look most forward to seeing glass go in the bottom floor around the restaurant.

While the Margaret and Oak Street sides start to get covered in the Ariscraft stone, the back is almost finished.

These cap stones weigh about 375lbs.  We offered Chef Guy's help if they wanted to walk them up the stairs, but they decided to use a machine instead.
